Used MOSFET Packaging and Shipping Checklist

Specify ESD protection, lead protection and lot labels before shipping used MOSFETs. Use a practical dispatch and receiving checklist for bulk orders.

What should used MOSFET packaging protect?

Used MOSFET packaging should protect devices from electrostatic discharge and mechanical damage while keeping each lot identifiable. Agree the container, lead protection, labels and dispatch evidence before shipment. At receipt, compare the package and lot references with the order before opening devices in an appropriate handling area.

Separate electrical protection from cushioning

A padded carton can reduce movement without providing the electrical protection required for sensitive devices. Ask which ESD-protective material contacts or encloses the parts, and whether the packing method is suitable for the specific device. Avoid accepting the word antistatic as a complete description of the packing system. Infineon discusses ESD precautions for handling and packing in its package-handling application note; apply the guidance relevant to your actual package.

Prevent loose parts from damaging each other

Agree how devices will be retained so that transport does not allow leads or package surfaces to collide. The appropriate tray, tube or other carrier depends on the package and available handling process. Ask for a photograph of the proposed inner packing. Check that the outer cushioning secures the inner container rather than simply surrounding a bag of freely moving parts.

Keep the batch identity attached to the parts

Label each agreed lot separately. Include the purchase-order reference, stated manufacturer and part number, quantity and supplier lot identifier. Where date codes or visible conditions differ, preserve the agreed separation. A single label on an outer carton is insufficient if its inner packs become indistinguishable after the carton is opened. Our sample-to-bulk approval guide explains why that link matters.

What evidence should you request before dispatch?

Ask for photographs of the actual lot, labelled inner packs and completed outer carton. Compare these with the approved sample and packing requirements. Record discrepancies before dispatch. A packing photograph documents visible arrangements; it does not prove electrical condition, authenticity or the performance of the packing during transport.

Record the receiving condition before unpacking

At delivery, record the shipping reference, carton condition and any visible damage. Follow your site’s receiving and ESD-handling procedure before opening the protective inner packaging. Compare lot references and counts with the order, and hold unexplained differences for review. Use the incoming MOSFET inspection checklist for the subsequent device checks.

Do used parts need moisture controls?

Check the requirements for the exact device and its intended assembly process rather than assuming every MOSFET needs the same dry-pack procedure. Request any available manufacturer storage, handling and moisture-related information. A repacked used lot may have an uncertain history; a new bag alone does not recreate an original manufacturer storage record. Do not improvise a baking process from a general purchasing article.

Put the packing requirement in the quotation

Before payment, state the accepted container arrangement, lot labels, quantity per pack and evidence required before dispatch. Agree how transport damage or a packing discrepancy will be reported and handled. Include these points in your MOSFET RFQ so that competing offers cover the same requirements. Confirm the receiving team can preserve lot separation after delivery.

What does the product image show?

The image below is the 043N15 reference from the supplied product workbook. It illustrates the device reference, not a verified shipping arrangement or current inventory. Review the 043N15 catalogue entry and request actual packing photographs for the lot you intend to buy.
